Manchester United end Dybala interest

Manchester United have ended their interest in Juventus forward Paulo Dybala according to Sky Sources.

It is believed that United were put off by the players extremely high wage demands and agent fees. It was also off putting that the Argentine did not favor a move to Manchester and instead wanted to continue his career in Turin.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be unhappy with the Juventus’ mans attitude and unwillingness to join the club. Solskjaer is looking to build his new United side around hard work and passion, something Dybala may not bring.

The deal between United and Juventus for striker Romelu Lukaku still looks to be on and it could even see Mario Mandzukic come the other way. Rumours are strong that the Croatian striker has agreed a deal to join United and I think this is probably likely now after the Dybala failure.

As a United fan I was hoping that we would manage to get a deal for Dybala across the line to show that we still do have major pulling power despite not having Champions League football. However, the fact that he appears to be so against the move is worrying. I don’t want more players at the club who take us for huge wages and then don’t perform and cause more trouble than worth.

Paulo Dybala alternatives for Manchester United

After Sky Sports Sources revealed that the deal to take Paulo Dybala to Old Trafford is off due to the Argentine wanting to stay at the Serie A side and fight for his place, Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now need to find an alternative signing for the upcoming season.

Bruno Fernandes is a potential alternative to Paulo Dybala, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding the Portuguese midfielder this summer and has attracted a lot of attraction from numerous Premier League sides. It is believed that as well as Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have been after his services so the red side of Manchester will have to act quickly to sign the Sporting Lisbon player. Bruno Fernandes enjoyed a memorable season last year for the Portuguese side and has 31 goals in just 66 appearances over his time with Lisbon. At just 24 years old and a regular in the Portuguese National team , this could be a very shrewd signing for Ole and his men.

James Maddison is also a promising alternative, the 22 year old enjoyed an impressive debut season for Leicester City in the 2018/2019 season has he accumulated 7 goals and 7 assists for the Foxes. The young Englishman boasts brilliant ball control, a wide range of passing and has shown decisive decision making which has made him a top prospect for the National team.  James Maddison can also offer a lot more than just an attacking threat as he has proven his maturity being able to play a deeper role and managed 126 recoveries of possession during the season showcasing his versatility. Although this may be a more difficult deal to pull off for Manchester United, it would be one that would get the fans excited after the disappointment on missing out on Paulo Dybala.
